A Song of The Surf Club (1929)

Surfing ! Glorious !! Surfing !!

We know that some Clubs, are exclusive
And cater for only a few ;
But hark to the call of a Club for us all
'Tis calling, to me and to you.

The jolly surf club of Kiama
Is open to everyone ;
It caters for all, both the great and the small,
And offers unlimited fun.

Hurrah for the jolly Surf Club !
The great democratic Surf Club.
It levels us all: we will answer the call
And enrol in the jolly Surf Club.

What sights we are promised this season,
By the side of the silvery sea,
The Aldermen say in the briny they'll play,
And gladly as kiddies will be.

The flappers are getting one-pieces,
Their beautiful figures to show,
And the Bard of Dunmore will be seen on the shore ;
With a pair, of field glasses-what oh !

Enrol in the jolly Surf Club !
The pleasure providing Surf Club.
Shall it be a success ?
All together now, YES !
Three cheers for Kiama Surf Club.

H.S.B., Dunmore.
