An Aboriginal Strike (1913)

Yet another excuse for capital to leave the country has arisen.
Down La Grange Bay (W.A.) the whole of the aboriginal employees
have gone on strike, as a protest against the White Australia
policy. The ringleader of the union, rather an intelligent fellow,
was appointed spokesman, and approached the white boss, delivering
himself thus: "You talk about your White Australia; you sack that
white man or we won't work."

The boss failed to appreciate the position, but the niggers didn't
fail to keep their word, and even went so far went so far as to
use the gins as pickets or scouts.
