Ned Kelly's Song (1907)

We are the terrors of the land.
We are the Kellys bold,
With gun and pistol in our hand,
We'll seek the yellow gold.

The stations and the banks we'll "stick,"
And those who dare oppose,
Shall meet our wrath and vengeance quick,
Be they who may our foes.

We have no fear, we have no care,
Wherever we may be,
When fighting, we will do our share,
Like Kellys bold and free.

The Kelly Gang will work their will,
As far as one can see,
Amd all tihe Traps we'll hunt and kill,
Like Kellys bold and free.

The hour that death doth draw anigh,
No one of us shall dree—
We'll fight, and we shall fighting die,
Like Kellys bold and free !

The song was sung and chorused round,
And merry laughter did resound ;
And while they sip and feast so well,
Their former exploits they retell.

[Part 4 will describe the bank robbery at Euroa, and Captain Stamdish's plans for pursuit of the gang.]
